Prices Hold Firm In Cool Housing Market

PhotoWhile end-of-year sales reports from the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver (REBGV) show that 2012 sales came in at 25.7 percent below the ten-year average for Multiple Listing Service® sales in the region, and 22.7 percent below 2011 sales, the benchmark price for all residential properties in Greater Vancouver declined only 2.3 percent when comparing December 2012 prices to those in December 2011.

A New Home For The New Year?

PhotoIt's a new year, and with that comes a whole new set of predictions about where our real estate market is headed.

Mortgage Reduction Resolutions

PhotoAs a homeowner, one of your New Year's resolutions may include a goal to stabilize your financial position in 2013. Why not take the first step toward fulfilling that goal by calling your mortgage broker to review the status of your current mortgage, and see how you can best plan for the future?

A New, Sustainable Start

PhotoIf you don't yet have a New Year's resolution of your own, here's one to consider: making your home a more environmentally sustainable place to live – and living a more sustainable life in it. Here are some tips to help you do just that, starting today and into 2013.

The Bright Side

PhotoIt's only natural for homebuyers to want to buy in the most desirable of neighborhoods, but that's not possible or practical for every buyer. Don't fret, though – buying in less sought-after areas has its own advantages.

That Secure Feeling

PhotoSelling means opening your home up to strangers – which can leave you feeling vulnerable when it comes to security. Safeguarding valuables is one way to make your home safer while it's for sale; hiring a real estate sales representative is another.

The Corner House

PhotoThey may sometimes be more expensive, but are corner lots better? The answer is entirely a matter of personal preference. To help you decide if a corner lot is right for you, consider the following points.

Condo Evolution

PhotoCondos are sometimes seen as a steppingstone on the way to a house - but they're much more versatile than people think. In fact, there's a condo suited for every stage of life.

A Fresh Start!

PhotoJanuary is a great time to organize your budget, so make THIS the year you enjoy being financially in control!
